Stryker Sonoma

Pat Stryker and Craig & Karen McDonald started their adventure in the Alexander Valley in 1999. They were first attracted to the location by the intrinsic beauty of the place and the potential of the vineyards.
The annual production of the winery is around 8,000 cases, divided in numerous small lots, ranging in size from 100 to 1,000 cases. Tim Harden, the current winemaker, has a gentle hand with his wines, creating elegant and food-friendly wines.
The winery building is an example of the best of new construction in Sonoma county, with a tasting room best described as an enormous window open to the vineyards. The building is integrated perfectly with its landscape. In fact, the architect won the 2002 Architectural Design Award for Northern California, a phenomenal success!

Wines Offered: The winery offers a large variety of wines, with numerous Zinfandels and Bordeaux varietals. The Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is not to miss, as is the Old Vine "Estate" Zinfandel.

  Marc's selection:
  •    Zinfandel, Old Vine "Estate": Interesting Zinfandel with aromas of plums, spices and a refreshing acidity on the palate, which is always welcome in Zinfandel.

  • Complimentary and Reserve wine tasting
  • Wine club: offers special discounts per bottle
  • Winemaker dinners
